This resulted in increased women’s representation in Parliament from 19% in the 6th Parliament (1996–2001) to 35% in the 9th and 10th Parliament (2011–2016, 2016–2021) respectively By increasing female representation, we embrace diverse perspectives that enhance policy-making and drive societal progress.
