The Gender and ICT Program aims to harness Uganda's ICT policies to empower women and bridge the gender digital divide. Established in 2006, the ICT Ministry has laid a foundation for national digital development, yet skills and access remain critical barriers. WLDI prioritizes training and resources for women, aligning with the 2040 Digital Vision to create inclusive digital spaces. Additionally, by connecting with a new generation of tech enthusiasts committed to gender equality, WLDI can foster innovation and collaboration. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic's push toward digital solutions, WLDI will explore strategies to enhance women's engagement with emerging technologies, ensuring they can fully participate in the digital economy.
